Balsam Fir
The Balsam Fir is considered to be the traditional Christmas tree. It is known for its strong pine scent, soft needles and very dense branching.
Fraser Fir
The Fraser fir is quickly becoming the most popular Christmas tree variety. While it is less fragrant than the Balsam fir, it is known for having better needle retention resulting in less needles on the floor, and its more open branched appearance.
Canaan Fir
Known for its similarities to the Fraser fir and Balsam fir, the Canaan fir is referred to as the hybrid of the two. The Canaan fir features fantastic needle retention like the Fraser fir, with more sensing branching characteristics of the Balsam fir. While it is relatively new to the Christmas tree market, it is quickly becoming one of our favorite varieties.
